Independence Day- Celebration of Diversity in eVidyaloka

Children perhaps are the best representatives of what “independence” stands for. They are unbiased in their thoughts. They dream and speak without inhibitions. We in eVidyaloka, strive to keep this trait in them intact. As we celebrated our 73rd Independence Day, the fervour and excitement that children exhibit show beautifully how the diverse culture of India is celebrated in its true form. Let us take a tour of how this day was celebrated across the country by the children of eVidyaloka. While children of Tamil Nadu used Kolam or rangoli art to represent their ideas of nationalism in their own simplicity, children in Jharkhand broke stereotypes of gender bias by parading around the grounds, participating in cultural activities and sports. In Karnataka and Andra Pradesh children bared the rain to participate in celebrations with great enthusiasm. Selfie covering miles to tell stories of Teacher-Student connect

Education has always been based on relationship between a teacher and child. A Guru-Shishya, where they sit together, interact, have dialogue, explore and learn. With altered ways making inroads due to technological innovations, the classroom now looks very different in the 21st century. While children are exposed to online self-learning content, on the other hand, they are also interacting with teachers staying far away, through online medium such as Skype. This has altered the teacher-student relationship as well. Unlike before when the relationship was an outcome of the teaching-learning process, now relationship building and have a personal connect with the children is the starting point.
